Backseat Driver

Etymology:

• This phrase originated in the start of nineteenth century when automobiles became popular. In that era only the elite class owned cars and rode on the backseat of cars, while drivers took them around. A person sitting at the back usually gave orders about driving and directions. This phrase became popular inside and outside of the car about a person, who always wanted to give unwanted orders.
