Bring Down the House

Etymology:

• Theater has been called a house from a long time and performers and audience have their own terms to light the place up. When seeing an interesting act the crowd usually applause, laughs and cheers at the performers. This act sounds loud inside the house and it seems like the ground and the roof is shaking. This leads to utmost feeling of excitement among the audience. This term is now used outside of the theater and in different contexts but the meaning always remains the same.
