Busman's Holiday

To spend free time in same task people do during their working timings

Etymology:

  • Throughout the late 19th and early 20th century, horses pulled the buses. There was a trend in which, on their holiday, bus drivers would ride on their own buses to ensure that other bus drivers took good care of the horses because they loved their horses a lot. This trend got the fame as ‘busman’s holiday’ for those who work in free time as they would get paid for it as they do in their working hours.
