Greek to Me

Etymology:

• The expression was used in the famous play of Shakespeare Julius Cease. It was 44 B.C times play in which a Roman speaking only Latin meets another person who says something in Greek language which he could not understand as it was “Greek to him”. The expression then became quite common. Today if you find anything complicated and difficult to understand be it technical or in reading then it is Greek to you.
