Hit a Brick Wall

Etymology:

• If you are in the race and running fast to reach the finishing line, if you suddenly get impeded with a brick wall in your way and got smacked, how would you cross the barrier reach your point? Similarly at various situations when you badly want something a job, or opportunity but you are blocked by the hurdles in your way, when you hurry to catch the train but train left and the doors are closed, such trouble is surely impossible to surmount.
