In the Pink

Etymology:

• Not many know that “pink” was the name of flower many centuries ago. After many years, the name was changed to describe a person or thing at its best. Then in 17th century, William Shakespeare used the word “pink” in one of his plays suggesting meaning perfection. And in 20th century, the word pink began to refer to health perhaps pink or rosy complexion is considered a sign of good health so today the phrase “in the pink” refers to describe someone in pretty good health.
