Live High Off the Hog

Etymology:

• It is an Afro- American phrase. Since pork is much liked and preferred meat in these parts of the world, especially the upper part of hog which encompass chops and ribs are better than eating parts of meat that belongs to the lower part of the animal such as feet, chitins and other things. Nowadays, the expression refers to live in a high class enjoying expensive things.
