Etymology:

• The phrase rightly points towards famous puppet show in which to entertain the audience, Marionettes or string puppets have been used for centuries. Everyone knows that puppets move or act when someone behind the curtain or scene pulls the strings of puppets out of the sight of the viewers. So the puppeteer is the real force behind the movement of puppets. Similarly, the idea can be driven to control someone or something from a distance.
