Good and deserving at a job, worth the productivity
Etymology:
- The expression originates from an ancient practice in the 19th century. For many years, salt was considered as a very rare and priceless entity. The Roman’s soldier was paid in the form of salt as wages. The word “salary” originated from Latin word to mean the “salt money.” The expression was then used to insist the case that if you are hardworking and loyal then you are every worth of the salt (salary) you are paid. Presently, the workers who are hardworking are worth of the payment regardless of the amount of their salary.
