Jump off the Deep End

Etymology:

• If one is not sure that he or she can swim deep in the swimming pool, one should not jump or go to deep end. It is safe and better to begin with shallow end and then moving towards deeper end. It is noticing if someone follows his or her emotions or has romantic involvement without giving it serious thought, he could be over his heads and could be faced with unpleasant situation. In the 20th century, this phrase “jumps off the deep end” also suggested to have nervous breakdown or to get enraged.
