Etymology:
- The phrase originated from the famous sport boxing. If a boxer has been badly smacked down and when referee begin to count final 10, the bell sounds to suggest the end of fight or the round is over. So the injured boxer can now take a bit of rest he feels liberated for a while. Later in 20th century the phrase meant to get salvaged at the last minute from any awful situation or timely rescue from any trouble.
