We all know that “sitting” is a comfortable or relaxing position and we also know that “pretty” is an adjective which means good, beauty and something suitable. So the inventor of this idiom has thought to combine these words to suggest any easy or favorable position. Now we can use this expression to suggest someone who is in good position in any area of life.
